The photo essay for today is collection of some of my favourite pictures from my recent trip to Turkey. I will be writing some posts about it in the future, so consider this a sneak preview. It was such a wonderful and varied country, soaked in history, drenched in culture and teeming with some of the friendliest people around. Oh, and did I mention the glorious food?

While I wrote this post I listened to my favourite Turkish artist, Mercan Dede’s cd 800, a wonderfully haunting mix of discordant Sufi music and electronica.

I love those photos. It is obvious you are a natural when you get behind the camera. You portray such a good image of Turkey with that collection
Thanks very much Natalie! That is such a big compliment. It is not hard to portray a good image of Turkey… it is such an amazing place it does it all on its own. I would really like to go back there… I feel like I barely began exploring even though I was there for 20 days.
